A Smoother Ride Starts Here: Barletta Introduces Seakeeper Ride to the Pontoon Market

At Barletta, we are always looking for ways to improve the on water experience in ways our customers can actually feel. From comfort and handling to confidence at the helm, every decision we make is focused on how the boat performs once it leaves the dock.

That focus is what led to our partnership with Seakeeper and the introduction of industry first underway stabilization technology for pontoons.

For the first time ever, Seakeeper Ride is coming to the pontoon market, and Barletta is leading the way.

A New Level of Comfort and Control

Seakeeper Ride has become one of the most impactful advancements in modern boating since its launch in 2022. The system is designed to reduce motion while underway, eliminating up to 70 percent of pitch and roll on boats up to approximately 55 feet.

With Barletta already leading the industry in construction, this partnership builds on a strong foundation. The dual I beam chassis and V.I.P. Technology, or Vibration Isolation Pad, were engineered to reduce vibration and improve ride comfort from the start.

Even with that advantage, Barletta continues to push forward in pursuit of the best possible on-water experience. This partnership introduces an even more advanced level of technology to the pontoon category for the first time.

To make this possible, Barletta worked closely with the Seakeeper engineering team to reengineer portions of the aft running surface and develop a dedicated mounting system. These refinements allow the system to perform at its highest level while maintaining the comfort, layout, and design Barletta owners expect.

The result is a smoother, more confident ride that can be felt immediately.

Understanding Roll, Pitch, and Yaw

When people talk about how a boat feels underway, they are usually experiencing some combination of roll, pitch, and yaw.

  • Roll is the side to side movement of the boat. This is often felt when waves hit from the side or when passengers move throughout the deck.
  • Pitch is the up and down motion at the bow. This becomes noticeable when running into chop or crossing wakes.
  • Yaw is the subtle left to right movement that can make steering feel less precise or require constant correction.

Each of these motions affects comfort on its own. Together, they are what cause fatigue and make a ride feel unsettled.

Seakeeper Ride actively manages roll, pitch, and yaw in real time. Using advanced sensors and proprietary software, the system continuously monitors how the boat is moving and automatically makes adjustments without any tuning or input required from the operator.

On Barletta pontoons, the software has been further refined to allow the boat to naturally bank into turns, creating a more predictable and comfortable feel while also keeping the boat level as passenger weight shifts throughout the deck.

Made Possible Through Partnership and Innovation

“Seakeeper Ride is rapidly becoming the minimum expectation on boats in our current segments, and the pontoon industry has been massively underserved from a stabilization standpoint,” said Andrew Semprevivo, President and CEO of Seakeeper. “Our goal has always been to transform the boating experience for all boaters. Entering the pontoon market was a natural next step, and partnering with Barletta allows us to usher pontoons into a new era of performance, safety, and confidence.”

“At Barletta, we are obsessed with improving the on water experience in ways our customers can feel every single time they leave the dock,” said Jeff Haradine, President of Barletta Boats. “Partnering with Seakeeper Ride allows us to bring breakthrough stabilization technology to our pontoons for the first time. It makes the industry’s smoothest ride even smoother, the handling more natural, and the entire experience more comfortable for everyone onboard.”

Innovation at Barletta is not something we talk about. It is something we build into every boat we create.

A Winning Debut

This partnership and the technology behind it were recognized with the Boating Industry Innovation Award at the 2026 Minneapolis Boat Show, officially awarded on January 22, 2026. The award highlights advancements that deliver real improvement to the boating experience and raise the standard for the marine industry.

Seakeeper Ride will be available on the 23 Lusso and 25 Lusso models, making Barletta the first pontoon manufacturer to offer complete underway stabilization technology.

A Seakeeper Ride equipped 25 Lusso will be on display at the Minneapolis Boat Show from January 22 through January 25, 2026, giving boaters the opportunity to see this technology in person. Plans are already in place to expand availability into additional models in the future.

From comfort and control to confidence underway, the Seakeeper Ride and Barletta Partnership represents a meaningful step forward for pontoon performance.
